Bayesian sparse regularization in near-field wideband aeroacoustic imaging for wind tunnel test

چکیده
1397 Robust deconvolution-based methods using sparsity constraint and sparse regularization achieve high spatial resolutions in aeroacoustic imaging in low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). But sparse prior and model parameters should be further optimized to obtain super resolution and be robust to sparsity constraint. In this paper, we propose a Robust Approach with Bayesian Sparse Regularization in Aeroacoustic Imaging (RABSRAI) to detect both positions and powers of near-field wideband uncorrelated sources in poor SNR case, and simultaneously estimate background noise. The Bayesian interpretation is applied to select the sparse prior and regularization parameter in stead of knowing source number or SNR. On simulated and wind tunnel data, proposed approach is compared with the beamforming, DAMAS, Diagonal Remove DAMAS, Robust DAMAS with sparsity constraint (SC-RDAMAS), Covariance Matrix Fitting (CMF) and CLEAN.

Two Robust Super Resolution Approaches in Aeroacoustic Imaging for Near-field Wideband Extended Sources
Recently deconvolution-based methods, like the DAMAS, have greatly improved spatial resolutions of the Beamforming in aeroacoustic imaging. But most of existing methods are not robust to background noise. In this paper, we propose two robust superresolution approaches using Sparsity Constraint (SC-RDAMAS) and Sparse Regularisation (SR-RDAMAS) respectively to simultaneously estimate source power...
متن کاملAn Overview of Computational Aeroacoustic Modeling at Nasa Langley
The use of computational techniques in the area of acoustics is known as computational aeroacoustics and has shown great promise in recent years. Although an ultimate goal is to use computational simulations as a virtual wind tunnel, the problem is so complex that blind applications of traditional algorithms are typically unable to produce acceptable results. The phenomena of interest are inher...
متن کاملAeroacoustic Noise Measurements of a Wind Turbine with BSDS Blades Using an Acoustic Array
Environmental noise restrictions play a role in the performance of wind turbines and the dominant source of noise on modern turbines is aeroacoustic noise produced by the blades. A 32 sensor acoustic array has been developed in cooperation between the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the University of Colorado to conduct measurements of aeroacoustic noise from a 100 kW wind turbi...
متن کاملA Hierarchical Variational Bayesian Approximation Approach in Acoustic Imaging
Acoustic imaging is a powerful technique for acoustic source localization and power reconstruction from limited noisy measurements at microphone sensors. But it inevitably confronts a very ill-posed inverse problem which causes unexpected solution uncertainty. Recently, the Bayesian inference methods using sparse priors have been effectively investigated. In this paper, we propose to use a hier...
متن کاملA Low Cost Numerical Simulation of a Supersonic Wind-tunnel Design
In the present paper, a supersonic wind-tunnel is designed to maintain a flow with Mach number of 3 in a 30cm×30cm test section. An in-house CFD code is developed using the Roe scheme to simulate flow-field and detect location of normal shock in the supersonic wind-tunnel. In the Roe scheme, flow conditions at inner and outer sides of cell faces are determined using an upwind biased algorithm. ...
